I have been thinking about writing on this subject for quite some time. The latest CNN Special (“Fareed Zakaria: Inside the Mind of Putin”) pushed me over the edge.

2. Who is President Putin, anyway?

You can’t understand modern Russia, without a good understanding of President Putin. Unfortunately, America’s media is not doing a good job for that, often vilifying him … All signs indicate that President Putin is heading toward historic greatness in Russia.
3. The war in Ukraine
I think it was a mistake for Russia to invade Ukraine on February 24, 2022. Two points:
- Nobody should endorse this war.
- Everybody must understand the real reason behind this war, as Pope Francis does (Pope Francis Says NATO Started War in Ukraine by “Barking at Putin’s Door”).
Unfortunately for Ukraine, Russia, as a superpower in both military and natural resources, can afford to make many mistakes before “winning”. So, the outcome of this war was determined on Day 1: Russia would prevail! Two main reasons:
- It is a war of attrition, at the expense of the total destruction of Ukraine!
- It is an American proxy war against Russia until all Ukrainians are dead.

6. Discussion
We are witnessing the end of colonialism (1492-2030), with America being the last big colonial power standing and resisting, relentlessly and recklessly!
China offers the only significant and real model of prosperity, without colonialism – China has lifted 800 million people out of poverty over the past four decades, without dropping a single bomb!
The West (aka “colonial powers”) has been doing everything possible to (1) cripple China, Tonya Harding style, and (2) prevent the China model from spreading, to Russia and elsewhere, while continuing to mess up the world, from the Mideast to Eastern Europe!

For a Russian leader, when your stock goes higher in America, it often means much more trouble for your country!
President Putin had his reasons for lamenting the disintegration of the USSR (Putin: Breakup of Soviet Union was ‘disintegration of historical Russia’), especially given the remarkable success of “communist China”.

7. Closing
