It’s the Second Amendment, Stupid?
The 2nd Amendment is obsolete, if not a mistake in the first place (What is the American Revolution, anyway?). However, let’s leave it alone for now, or we may face another civil war (America: Guns vs. Slavery). Critically Assessing Thomas Jefferson
America has been widely regarded as “Jeffersonian” throughout its history so far. But Jeffersonian American is deeply in trouble (Has Jeffersonian America Run Its Course?). Therefore it is time to critically assess Thomas Jefferson!
America: 9/11/2001 vs. 2/24/2022
On 2/24/2022, Russia launched a war against Ukraine. Most Americans reacted fiercely against Russia, without reasoning. This is just like they did in the wake of the 9/11/2001 attacks on America!
It’s time to compare the two events, as well as the two respective American reactions.
America: Guns vs. Slavery
At the end of the American Revolution, America inherited two big issues from Britain:
- Slavery.
- Gun ownership.
The solutions may be the same too: addressing each via a civil war!
Vision for America: Alexander Hamilton vs. Thomas Jefferson
Among America’s Founding Fathers, no one has seen his fortune rise more dramatically over the past few years than Alexander Hamilton. Two highlights:
- “Hell” in 2015: Woman to replace Alexander Hamilton on $10 bill.
- “Heaven” in 2018: Behind the Broadway Smash “Hamilton”.
But I think he deserves much more attention and recognition, particularly in terms of having an enduring vision for America, especially when compared with Thomas Jefferson.

1. President Bush II on Iraq – He meant Ukraine
Here is a recent news story: George W. Bush called Iraq War ‘unjustified and brutal.’ He meant Ukraine. Below is an excerpt:
It was the “decision of one man to launch a wholly unjustified and brutal invasion of Iraq,” former president George W. Bush said Wednesday before quickly correcting himself, saying he meant to describe Russian President Vladimir Putin’s war on Ukraine.
“Iraq, too, anyway,” he added under his breath to laughter from the audience during a speech at his presidential center in Dallas.
Is America the last big colonial power standing?
Yes!
1. What is wrong with America, globally?
Two biggest American war lies this century:
- WMDs in Iraq.
- The war in Ukraine is “unprovoked” (Pope Francis Says NATO Started War in Ukraine by “Barking at Putin’s Door”).
More profoundly, America has been badly failing in the real world of Three New Kingdoms (i.e., the U.S., Russia, and China) for one key reason: America is actually the last big colonial power standing. America is relentlessly and recklessly resisting the inevitable: a total collapse because the colonial model is totally out of date!
