Is America exceptional, really?

Is America exceptional, really?

Yes, America is exceptional in many ways. But I believe it is time to point out that America is exceptionally dangerous to mankind, because America, if not fixed soon, may destroy us all as a species by provoking WWIII, via Ukraine, Taiwan, or somewhere else!

To fix America, we must dispel the conventional notion of American exceptionalism by highlighting some other exceptions, which is what this post is about.

Parenting in America: 36 years back and 36 years ahead

Thirty-six years ago today, I became a father: My first child was born on May 4, 1987. Happy birthday, Dan!

As parents, we all want to see our children doing well. If they do, we are happy. If they do not, our hearts get broken. This is human nature, universally.

For a child to do well, all three elements must be right: parenting, self-effort, and the environment.

There has been no better environment than America over the past 36 years! But will this still be true 36 years from now? I am worried, deeply …

Not all men are created equal!

Not all men are created equal!

“All men are created equal” – What a slogan in the “Declaration of Independence”!

It was powerful and useful for America to defy the British King at the time. But its true validity has been in question ever since, with profound implications to date, not only for America, but also for the world.

So, it is time to thoroughly clarify it: it is false – then, now, and forever.

In other words, not all men are created equal!

America is a lie!

America is a lie!

I used to believe “America is an ideal.” But now I believe “America a lie.”

When an ideal is too remote, it becomes a lie (e.g., communism). But America is far worse than that: America is a lie, foundationally! Two main reasons:

  • America was built on a pile of lies, with “all men are created equal” being the mother of all American lies.
  • America was born as a new colonial power.
