In today’s world, no bilateral relationship is more important than that between the U.S. and China. Unfortunately for the world, America has been doing everything possible trying to slow down China, even at the risk of provoking World War III (Unrelenting US Hostility Toward China).
1. Why do I write?
As a Chinese-American, I am caught between a rock and a hard place. On one hand, I wish China, my native country, well – She suffered too much over the past 200 years. On the other hand, I wish America, my adopted country, well – She must stop her precipitous decline. Most importantly, there must be no war, trade or otherwise, between the two largest economies in the world!
So, what do I do?
I write!
2. How do I write?
I write about U.S.-China relations, as I consider myself to be one of the best qualified persons in the world to address the subject, based on nothing but my unique life experiences – Read My American Dream Has Come True!
I have my own unique school of thought, which has been well reflected by the title of my first book (Saving America, Chinese Style), published in 2011.
Since then, I have developed further along with greatly improved writings. Today, I have more than 700 articles and four books out.
Here is my latest book (History 2.0 – China’s Comeback vs. America’s Decline).
3. Evolution of my views
Rome was not built in one day, nor is my unique school of thought.
Let me highlight how my view of China and my view of the U.S. have changed over time, respectively.
3.1 My changing view of China
Below is how my view of the CPC (Communist Party of China, aka “CCP”) has evolved:
- 1959-1966: I was a know-nothing child in China.
- 1966-1976: I hated it, as it ruined my life throughout the Cultural Revolution.
- 1976-1978: I was a jobless and hopeless teenager.
- 1978-1982: As a college student, I worked hard to get out of China.
- 1982-1985: I lived in Japan, as a graduate student at the University of Tokyo. I started looking at China from a different, and more positive, perspective.
- 1985-1988: I lived in the US, as a graduate student at Vanderbilt University. I was too busy to care about politics.
- 1988-1991: I lived in Brussels, working for SWIFT. I was so pissed by what happened in China on June 4, 1989 (1989 Tiananmen Square protests and massacre) that I vowed not to return to China, ever!
- 1991-2005: I lived in the U.S. and worked for several companies. I started noticing China’s dramatic transformation.
- 2005-2022: I have been running my own business (i.e., import-export between the U.S. and China) while writing and publishing a lot. Today. I am convinced that China, under the leadership of the CPC, is already well on its way to claiming the 21st century!
3.2 My changing view of the U.S.
Below is how my view of the U.S. has evolved:
- 1985: Following the beacon, I came to America as a graduate student at Vanderbilt University.
- 2011: I published my first book (Saving America, Chinese Style), as highlighted in the last Section.
- 2021: I published my fourth book (History 2.0 – China’s Comeback vs. America’s Decline), as highlighted in the last Section.
- 2022: I have recently furthermore clearly identified what America truly is: Colonial America 1776-2030?
4. Discussion
Everything is relative, from a nation’s well-being to geopolitics. Two examples:
- Saying American democracy worked well in America in the 1990s is like saying Soviet communism worked well in the USSR in the 1960s – Both are passing fads! For more, read Longevity: American Democracy vs. Soviet Communism.
- America was “fine” until China showed up as a competitor with a totally different form of government. For more, read Toward an ideal form of government.
In other words, in today’s world, no American can truly understand America, without truly understanding China and vice versa.
Unfortunately for America, most Americans simply understand neither!
Worse yet for America, everything most Americans think they know about America, let alone China, is wrong!
Why is that?

My writings should be a great source of truth and informed opinions. For more, read Media distortion in America.
5. My two goals in writing
- Short-term: To save America with my pen.
- Long-term: To save the world by leaving a book behind that is good for 100 years at least!
6. Closing
America, reforms our failing political system, as I have suggested (History 2.0 – China’s Comeback vs. America’s Decline), or become a fiddle, second to China!
