Yesterday marked the 3-year anniversary of the war in Ukraine. All signs indicate that there will be a ceasefire soon, thanks to President Trump’s leadership (Trump says he spoke to Putin about ending the war in Ukraine)!
1. President Trump’s position on this war
The image below tells it all!
In short, President Trump is correct in blaming Ukraine to have started this war, but he left this line out: “at the urging of America’s MIC” (of which Trump is not a part).
2. What happened on February 24, 2022?
On this day, Russia invaded Ukraine.
It was wrong for Russia to do so. But it was not “unprovoked,” as America’s establishment (of which Trump is not a part) has been outrageously lying since then.
3. What led to the war?
A highlight with five points:
- It was seeded by America’s neocons in the 1990s via NATO expansions eastward.
- It became more real after 2008, when NATO issued an invitation to Ukraine (Wikipedia – 2008 Bucharest summit).
- It became a real possibility after 2014, when a CIA-backed mob first overthrew the democratically-elected government in Kyiv (Washington Was Behind Ukraine Coup: Obama admits US “Brokered a Deal” in Support of “Regime Change”), and then installed a pro-West one.
- The pro-West government in Kyiv kept poking Russia (Pope Francis Says NATO Started War in Ukraine by “Barking at Putin’s Door”).
- The Biden administration had several opportunities to prevent the war from breaking out (December 2021 Russian ultimatum to NATO), but chose not to (Biden didn’t accept Putin’s ‘red line’ on Ukraine – Here is what that means).
4. What happened right after 2/24/2022?
Everybody reasonably intelligent assumed President Zelenskyy would run – He should, to preserve his country!
Unfortunately for Ukraine, he chose to stay and fight, delighting America’s MIC, which finally got what it wanted all along: a proxy war against Russia, fought with Ukrainian blood and American weapons!
5. Reality check
Four points:
- It does not matter what you think: When Russia felt threatened by a pro-West Ukraine, it pushed back by all means. When Russia pushed back, it would prevail not only over Ukraine, but also over NATO (Russia vs. NATO).
- Russia can afford to make many mistakes (e.g., an ill-planned invasion, with the expectation that Zelensky would run) before succeeding, as it is essentially a war of attrition.
- Ukraine is not fighting for freedom – It is fighting for freedom from Russia, only to become a loyal American lapdog.
- Nobody knew how this war would end, but everybody reasonably intelligent should have known that it would end badly for Ukraine.
6. Discussion
Two messages to my fellow Americans and Ukrainians, respectively.
6.1 Message to my fellow Americans
You have been fooled, if you have been with Ukraine on the war.
Ask yourself this question: What would America do if Mexico chose to be hostile to us by allying with Russia?
Answer: America would bomb Mexico City to the Stone Age!
Now ask: Why has not Russia done that to Kyiv?
Answer: Russia has been very refrained and merciful so far!
Another question: Why does not Mexico seek an alliance with Russia?
Answer: Russia does not have an anti-America alliance equivalent to NATO, nor would Mexico be dumb enough to join it, if there were one. For more, read Are Democracy and NATO a lethal combination?
6.2 Message to Ukrainians
You have been fooled, if you have so far supported the war.
Specifically, you thought you fought for both democracy and independence, but you end up with neither!

8. The solution for Ukraine
There is only one realistic solution for Ukraine: Do as America says!
Specifically,
- Negotiate the best deal possible with the Trump administration (White House and Ukraine Close In on Deal for Mineral Rights).
- Accept the best deal possible negotiated between America and Russia.
- Learn to get along with Russia, while staying neutral between Russia and America in geopolitics.
Most importantly, learn an expensive lesson from this whole thing!

Wise up, Ukraine, you have been played by America’s MIC – It’s time to end the war by all means!
