In a previous post (Donald Trump vs. Kamala Harris), I endorsed Trump 2024. In this post, I will spell out the possibility if Trump wins in 2024, encouraging him to strive for greatness matching China’s Deng.
1. Deng Xiaoping
Below is an excerpt from Wikipedia – Deng Xiaoping.
Deng Xiaoping (Chinese: 邓小平[a]; 22 August 1904 – 19 February 1997) was a Chinese revolutionary, politician, and statesman. He served as the paramount leader of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) from 1978 to 1989. After the death of Mao Zedong in 1976, Deng rose to power and led China through a period of Reform and Opening Up that transformed its economy into a socialist market economy. Deng is widely regarded as the “Architect of Modern China” for his contributions to socialism with Chinese characteristics and Deng Xiaoping Theory.[5]
The image below highlights Deng’s place in Chinese history.
2. Donald Trump
Here is an excerpt from Wikipedia.org – Donald Trump:
Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is an American politician, media personality, and businessman who served as the 45th president of the United States from 2017 to 2021.
Here is my assessment of President Trump: Correctly Assessing President Trump, with not initiating a new war being his major accomplishment throughout his first term.
3. Where is America today?
America is deeply in trouble. The image below offers a highlight.
What, then, is the solution?
Political reforms! In other words, America is desperately in need of a great peaceful transformational leader like China’s Deng.
Can Donald Trump possibly be that leader? Yes, he can! But will he?
4. Trump vs. Deng
President Trump was inconsequential to his country throughout his first-term, especially when compared with Deng. Now, Trump has the opportunity of matching Deng, if he becomes the President again – He should use his power wisely, unbounded by the system-error of “getting re-elected ad nauseam”!
With that, let us look ahead to a possible future by fast forwarding to June 14, 2029 …
President Trump, now comfortably in retirement, invites me to his 83rd birthday party. At that time, I would compare him with Deng in four categories as follows:
- Economic reforms
- Political reforms
- Approach
- Legacy.
To briefly highlight each …
4.1 Economic reforms
Deng successfully transformed China’s economy from communism to state capitalism (highlighted by the image below), while President Trump kept America’s economy going, without much real change. Deng achieved far more. Edge: Deng.
4.2 Political reforms
Deng transformed China’s political system from communism (or more precisely, feudalism, with Mao being the de facto last emperor) to a new form that is best described as “an earned emperorship” (Earned emperorship in China). It appeared to be slightly better than America’s political system (Toward an ideal form of government?) until 2028, after Trump again became the American President in 2025. President Trump fundamentally transformed America as follows:
- He dismantled the Military-Industrial Complex (America’s evil MIC) by draining the swamp in Washington D.C., thus not only avoiding World War III, but also ending the state that is perpetually at war.
- He initiated some constitutional changes such as term-limits for Congress and a mandatory retirement age for the justice of the US Supreme Court.
As a result, America’s political system is more competitive with China’s. Trump achieved far more than Deng. Edge: Trump.
4.3 Approach
Deng started with the economic reforms, saving China’s political system as a by-product. Trump did it the other way: he started with the political reforms, saving America’s economy as a by-product. Edge: Even.
4.4 Legacy
Both Trump and Deng left their jobs with their respective countries well positioned for the future. However, overall, China is in a far better shape than America is. Edge: Deng.
4.5 Summary
Trump vs. Deng: 1 and 2.
Deng’s place in history is well set: Deng has proven to be the greatest peaceful transformational leader in human history, IMHO at least.
Trump’s place in history is still tenuous and in the making. He should strive to be match Deng’s.
5. Dictatorship
Deng was a dictator, but not all dictators are bad! In fact, Deng was a bloody communist before becoming the greatest peaceful transformational leader in history.
Democracy has been proven to fail throughout history without a single example of lasting success (e.g., 200 years). So, it is time for America to have a dictator.
Will Trump be a great dictator for whom America is desperately in need?
Time will tell!

6. Discussion
America, give Donald Trump another chance because the alternative is simply unacceptable!
President Trump, you have a tremendous opportunity to be great: first, become the President again and then strive for greatness by matching China’s Deng. Otherwise, you will be a nobody in history but a spot-filler President by luck and circumstance!
7. More discussion
The meme below highlights the profound difference between the US and China. It will take generations for America to catch up with China!
President Trump, be great for America! The path to greatness has already been shown to you (History 2.0 – China’s Comeback vs. America’s Decline). For all our sakes, please listen and just do it!
8. Closing
America, give Trump another chance! Below will hopefully be America’s memory on Trump’s 83rd birthday.
