As the 2024 Presidential election gets underway (Trump announces 2024 run for president), let me make a strong case for “Ron DeSantis for President 2024”.
1. Who is Ron DeSantis?
Below is an excerpt from Wikipedia – Ron DeSantis.
Ronald Dion DeSantis (/dəˈsæntɪs/; born September 14, 1978) is an American politician serving as the 46th governor of Florida since January 2019. A member of the Republican Party, DeSantis represented Florida’s 6th district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2013 to 2018.
Born in Jacksonville, DeSantis spent most of his childhood in Dunedin, Florida. He graduated from Yale University and Harvard Law School. DeSantis joined the United States Navy in 2004 and was promoted to lieutenant before serving as a legal advisor to SEAL Team One; he was deployed to Iraq in 2007. When he returned to the U.S. a year later, the U.S. Department of Justice appointed DeSantis to serve as a Special Assistant U.S. attorney at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Middle District of Florida, a position he held until his honorable discharge in 2010.
2. DeSantis’ possible platform
Simple and straightforward:
- I am a GOP governor, with a proven track record.
- I am not Donald Trump.
- I am not corrupted in Washington DC.
- I will reform our failing political system!

2.1 I am a GOP Governor, with a proven track record

As it is spelled out in the book (“History 2.0”) cited at the end of this post, being a successful governor (in a big state) should be an essential requirement for the American Presidency.
2.2 I am not Donald Trump
The system (aka “the establishment”) had failed so badly by 2016 that “We the People” simply did not know what to do, other than electing someone – anyone – very different to be the President: Donald Trump!
Unfortunately for America, President Trump did not work out (Correctly assessing President Trump). So, America, via the 2020 election, chose to settle back to 2016 – What a disaster since then, from the out-of-control inflation to the war in Ukraine!
It is time for another bold try with Ron DeSantis!
2.3 I am not corrupted in Washington DC
After serving for three terms in the House (i.e., six years), DeSantis went home in 2018 to serve as the Governor in Florida. So, he is not a career politician in Washington DC, about which the image below tells you a lot.

2.4 I will reform our failing political system
The establishment does not work. I will take on it, especially the MIC (America’s Evil Military Industrial Complex). For more, read the book cited at the end of this post.
3. DeSantis’ monumental challenge
DeSantis must win the GOP primary before finally facing his Democratic opponent, which means he must destroy Donald Trump, without losing many Trump voters.
What a monumental challenge!
Here is my specific contribution: I “settled” on Ron DeSantis in April 2022 and created a Facebook group named “DeSantis for President 2024”. It started gaining some serious traction in September 2022 and has now grown to more than 1,000 members.
Way to go!
4. Trump vs. DeSantis
Let’s compare Trump with DeSantis from three “conservative” perspectives as follows:
- Patriotism.
- Family values.
- Honesty.

5. Discussion
America is desperately in need of a great transformational leader like China’s Deng Xiaoping (Mikhail Gorbachev vs. Deng Xiaoping). Donald Trump was given a chance, but he failed – His odds of winning the Presidency in 2024 is zero!
So, let us have another bold try with Ron DeSantis, from the next generation of leaders!
Admittedly, Ron DeSantis is far from being an ideal candidate for the Presidency. For example, he obviously lacks experience in foreign policy. But overall, he is the best candidate available!
6. Closing
America, reform our failing political system, as I have suggested (History 2.0 – China’s Comeback vs. America’s Decline), or face a bloody revolution (A quarter of Americans open to taking up arms against government, poll says)!
Ron DeSantis offers the best possibility of starting such political reforms. So, let us give him a chance!
